Welcome to IndieVana (“Site,” “we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Site and any content, features, or services provided through it.

By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

What we do: IndieVana curates gaming news and resources, linking to third-party sources. Articles may open through “bridge” URLs (e.g., /tmbridge/... or /ivarticle/...) that embed the original page (when allowed) or show a preview with metadata (title, image, short excerpt) and a link to the source.

We do not own, host, or control third-party content unless explicitly stated.

2) Eligibility

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (or have parental consent) to use the Site. Use the Site only in compliance with these Terms and applicable laws.

3) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

4) Accounts (if any)

If any features require an account, you’re responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

5) Content & Intellectual Property

5.1 Our content

Site design, branding, and original materials created by IndieVana are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as permitted by law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.

5.2 Third-party content (links, embeds, previews)

The Site surfaces and links to content provided by others. We may show headlines, images, and short excerpts using standard metadata, or embed the original page where the source allows it. All rights in third-party content remain with their respective owners. We do not endorse and are not responsible for third-party sites, their availability, policies, or content.

5.3 User submissions (if enabled)

If you submit content (e.g., comments), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display it for operating the Site. You warrant you have the rights to submit it and that it complies with these Terms and applicable laws.

6) Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Violate any law or third-party right.
Scrape, crawl, or index the Site in a way that imposes undue load or circumvents technical measures.
Interfere with the Site’s security or introduce malware.
Harass, defame, or infringe others’ privacy or IP rights.
Republish third-party content surfaced via the Site except as permitted by law or the rights holder.

We may restrict access for violations.

7) Bridge Pages & Embeds

Some external articles open via IndieVana “bridge” pages. Depending on the source’s policies:

If embedding is permitted, you may see the article in a secure iframe on our Site.
If embedding is blocked, you’ll see a preview (image, headline, short excerpt) and a button to Open Source on the publisher’s website.

We do not host full articles where embedding is disallowed.

8) Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure

Advertising: We display ads (e.g., Google AdSense). Third-party ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Amazon Associates: IndieVana participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Prices/availability are provided by Amazon or other merchants and may change.
Other affiliates: Some outbound links may be affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you buy through those links at no extra cost to you.

9) Privacy & Cookies

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and our use of cookies/trackers for analytics and ads. By using the Site, you consent to such processing by that policy.

10) Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that third-party content is accurate or complete.

11) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IndieVana and its owner/affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site or third-party content/services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed USD $100 (or the minimum amount permitted by law, if greater).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in such cases, the limitations apply to the greatest extent permitted.

12) Copyright & Takedown (DMCA-style process)

We respect intellectual property rights. If you are a rights holder (or agent) and believe material on the Site infringes your rights, please email a notice including:

Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
The URL(s) on our Site where the material appears.
Your contact information (name, address, phone, email).
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act.
Your physical or electronic signature.

13) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site (in whole or in part) at any time, including for any breach of these Terms or to comply with legal obligations.

14) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

The laws of Lebanon govern these Terms. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Beirut, Lebanon, to resolve any disputes arising from these Terms or the Site.

Where required by law, we and you will first attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting the other party in writing. If unresolved after 30 days, either party may bring a claim in the courts identified above.

15) International Use

We make no representation that the Site is appropriate or available in all locations. Accessing the Site where it is illegal is prohibited. You access the Site on your initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

16) Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement: These Terms and any referenced policies (e.g., Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
Severability: If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
No Waiver: Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.
