New Overwatch season – latest hero, maps, and changes

What’s in the new Overwatch season? Every two months, a new Overwatch season takes place, introducing new heroes, skins, maps, and more. At the beginning of the year, Blizzard wiped the seasonal numbering and established the narrative arc in 2026 as ‘The Reign of Talon’, marking a new era for the hero shooter. There used to be big gaps between the launches of new Overwatch characters, but that has changed with The Reign of Talon. As for Overwatch maps, the release cadence isn’t as frequent, but there are map reworks to look forward to, in addition to brand-new releases.
